Elia Busey, Dc

Chiropractic Care

Hailing from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Elia or Lia as she likes to be called, has been a chiropractor in the Portland metro area for over 5 years. After graduating from LSU in 2016 with a degree in Kinesiology, she moved to Portland to attend the University of Western States for chiropractic school. While she meant to return home upon graduating, she fell in love with the PNW and hasn’t looked back. She enjoys helping patients by implementing various chiropractic treatments while also getting to know them outside of their complaints. She knows that everyone can respond differently to treatment, so treatment will be different for everyone. She works with all types of patients, but has a special interest in headaches and is rediscovering her love of sports medicine. She is excited to work alongside the other great providers here at the Pearl Health Center as she knows how a collaborative and integrative setting can benefit patients and help them meet their goals. While she does want to help relieve pain, she also wants to help improve function so everyone she sees can return to their normal daily activities. When she’s not at work, she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and walking around her neighborhood. She loves fall here in Portland because of the cooler temperatures/low humidity levels and seeing the leaves change colors. She enjoys watching movies in theaters and will argue with anyone who doesn’t like Dr Pepper.

Dr David Rief.png

David Rief, DC

Chiropractic Care

My name is Dayxe (Daisy) however professionally I am David Rief and my pronouns are They/She/Xe. My specialty of care has foundations in weightlifting and physical medicine through my education as a chiropractor at University of Western States following graduation from University of Washington. I have been practicing in the greater Portland metropolitan area for over 9 years with physical medicine and chiropractic as my specialty. I have been competitive in olympic style weightlifting since ‘02 with a singular international showing at the Jr. world championships in 2009. The preferred practice of care is to explain and educate around the concerns you come with to an appointment. By being a supplement to your lifestyle with directions on self care throughout your life. This is to give you the autonomy to care for your lifestyle when schedule does not allow you to seek counsel from a physical medicine practitioner. When managing injuries this care is much more frequent and in depth due to recovery being a trek from injury to recovery. I enjoy Sci-Fi. So if you travel by Warp, TARDIS, Lightspeed, Phonebooth, Bi-Frost or Cryosleep we can nerd out on several threads of our celestial adventures.
